Chavurah Trip Session 1

Chavurah had so much fun on their overnight to Camp Verde! We arrived at our campsite the first night and spent some quality time with each other. That night we did a very empowering program where we all participated in writing something special about each other. The next day we woke up bright and early in order to make our 9:30am appointment with the Kayaking company. Our group split up into two different groups where one group kayaked 3.1 miles down the Verde River, and the other group stayed back to do team building strategies and play shore games. Halfway through the day we ate a picnic lunch and switched groups so that everyone had a chance to participate in such an amazing experience. After an exhausting day of kayaking we came back to our campsite, ate dinner, and did another meaningful evening program that bonded our Chavurah family together even more so. On the final day of our overnight we took a trip to Montezuma’s Castle where we got to learn about the history of such a historical place. After this experience we headed back to Prescott where we had a picnic lunch at Watson Lake, played games in the grass, and did yet another bonding program. Realizing that we smelled horrible after camping for two nights, we headed back to camp where we anxiously awaited the shower. We are so lucky to have had such a wonderful time sleeping under the stars with some of our best friends, and we can’t wait to do it again next year!
